Well as you can imagine things have been pretty hectic around here and my apologies for not putting a blog up before now.
The weather has not really been the best for the families visit but, slowly but surely it is starting to improve.
We are now at the time of foraging here in Menorca before the really hot weather comes in and today and myself and Jack have just come in from collecting wild asparagus to add to our dinner this evening.
After all the rain recently it’s just starting to sprout.
I have been watching the locals in the past few days in the ditches at the sides of the roads almost breaking their necks to reach the delicate little pieces of it.
They hold it here in Menorca in very high esteem and, in fact if you go into any good green grocer here you can buy small bunches of it for as much as 4euro for about enough to fill a small tooth.
Also at the moment the wild mint is starting and tomorrow may well be our day to collect it by the bucket full and put it in the freezer for the summer months.
We will also be collecting the wild Borage to put into ice cubes for Gaspachio for my little cooking job I do in the Summer.
My apologies again for the frantic way this is written but I am trying to grab a few moments to myself at close to midnight…..LOL

Ps By the way Daffy Duck is doing really well it is in with the rest of the ducks because Jack my 2 year old grand son decided it was supposed to share his breakfast at the dining table…….LOL
