Beach reduction
Hi Guys This is one for those of you who live on the island or who are there at the moment . I have just read elsewhere that a lot of sand has been lost due to winter and spring tides and that there is virtually none left along the San Adeodato (Vistamar - Es Bruc) stretch . Just how bad is it looki...

Re: Restaurants in Santo Tomas
The last time we stayed in Santo Tomas we stayed in the Melia nextdoor to the Hotel Santo Tomas on half board and found everything more or less as it always was elsewhere. Now that our son is an adult and longer comes with us we no longer need the beach as much as we once did so have relocated most ...

Re: I'll be here
Hi guys I have just returned to the forum as anything other than an observer as I had huge problems getting my password before Christmas and then gave up in disgust  . However the problem is now resolved so here I am logged in again ! I am really sorry to see the messages about Mossa's handling...

Re: Splash Park
Ah, that may be the answer - all I know is that someone tried to take their children to what they thought was the one with pay to use facilities and got very upset when told "No"

Re: Splash Park
Yes, it is TripAdvisor but somebody has posted up this week complaining that it ISN'T open to non residents this season and I was wondering if anybody who has either used it as a non resident this year or who is local enough to drop by and ask can say what the current state of play is.

Splash Park
On another forum I visit there has been some confusion about whether the splash park is open to non residents of the hotel - the understanding was that last season people could pay to go in but one person at least has tried so far this season and been told "No" . If there ARE any periods when non re...

Re: Help with Car Hire
As they are an agent they are likely to use firms like Gold Cars and BK Cars etc. who do not have flawless reputations ( BK has featured on BBC Watchdog more than once) and I wouldn't risk it personally :ele: Unlike Roger at Poppy's who as you know provides a personalised delivery with no deposit or...

Re: Es Pla burnt to the ground!
Any updates from locals " on the ground"? What does it look like and are the palms badly damaged? I see from http://menorca.info/menorca/sucesos/2016/574380/ports-asume-retirada-total-restos-pla-sola-fase.html that this week the Port Authority has decided to take over the removal of debris after the...

Driving shoes
Just been asked if there is any potential for getting an on the spot fine from the police if caught driving in Varcas ( on the basis that they are "backless" sandals not shoes) . Do any of you guys know the official answer? I realise that flipflops etc. or bare feet are not acceptable due to the ris...
