Post by bobbles1432 » January 26th, 2009, 2:29 pm

I am new to 'Menorca Talk' and having read the posts for Santo Thomas cannot wait until early Sept for first visit to the island, we will be staying at the 'Vistamar' and hope that it is all that it seems to be.
looking forward to a great holiday.

Welcome to the site from me too bobbles1432. You will love Menorca and ST is a beautiful resort. You may want to consider hiring a car for a day or 2 and getting out and about on the island. There are many lovely things to discover.

Hi there. I don't post very often, but welcome anyway.
Santo Tomas is a fantastic little resort. It's very quiet, but there are just enough restaurants and bars to satisfy most. In fact, our favourite restaurant, the Don Tomas is located at the Vistamar.
We went to ST 2 years ago and have just booked for June. We'll be taking our 2 young daughters and find the resort ideal for families. There is a long promenade that runs the whole length of the resort, which is dotted with small playgrounds along the way.
The resort can be quite pricey, but I think it's worth it for such a lovely, clean place.

Thanks all for the welcome we are looking forward to the hols, as 'recycled teenagers' a quiet resort is not a bad thing as long as the pavements are in good order for our 'ZIMMERS', will keep an eye on the forum.
Thanks again.

As parents travelling with a buggy, I can honestly say that this resort is probably the best I have been to in terms of the state of the pavements. They are excellent, as is the promenade.
