Boom Boom Boom --is it necessary

Post by JOHNEARNSHAW » July 30th, 2011, 5:14 am

Loved being back in ST again this year but one thing I and my wife didn't like was the BOOM BOOM BOOM ---noise from the Lord Nelson Hotel and Apartments .We have always loved the peace and Quite that make ST so special I feel that the noise is spoiling the place :axe:
I wanna come back to my favorite place ---SANTO TOMAS MENORCA

Well I suppose it's everyone to their own.
I assume it's the music you are talking about?
Some people say they really like the music and it does finish before 12 doesn't it?
I realise you prefer the quiet were you far away of pretty much next door?

We went in May and they were just opening, the music was loud and not at all in-keeping with ST's style. It wasn't just the entertainment at night (which you can live with) but throughout the day which seemed a bit over the top.

While we were there a couple of weeks ago we did notice some people walking around the resort with equipment, microphones, etc and they seemed to be recording something. We thought that perhaps it was in connection with the sound levels, because it definately was far too loud, and I'm sure that surrounding restaurant owners and apartment owners will have been complaining. There probably is some sort of restriction, set by authorities, as to how loud music can be played. Time will tell.

They do have noise restriction levels here, but until someone complains to the police no one will know about it, except the poor souls suffering :???:
I only let him think he's in charge.

:finga: Well done watta!
We love music too,but don't want to hear other peoples.Nor would we inflict ours on other folk. It could really spoil your holiday if you're trying to relax and chill out.
Ipods and head-phones are great inventions...and should be compulsory!

Hi guys, well I got a call from the owners at the Hamilton and they stated that something is going to be done shortly, to eliminate this unacceptable noise. :finga: :finga: Anybody going out to ST shortly, please let us know if this has indeed been rectified.
