Beach reduction

Post by Santo T.fan » May 10th, 2018, 9:33 am

Hi Guys

This is one for those of you who live on the island or who are there at the moment . I have just read elsewhere that a lot of sand has been lost due to winter and spring tides and that there is virtually none left along the San Adeodato (Vistamar - Es Bruc) stretch . Just how bad is it looking?

Is there a sand bar close to shore that might slowly be washed back or does it look as though it is going to remain "as is" for some substantial amount of time? I remember that some years ago when something similar happened there was bare bedrock exposed even on Playa de Santo Tomas.

Are other south coast beaches nearby like Son Bou affected?
