less than a week to go

Post by oldseas » July 5th, 2016, 12:17 pm

so little is added to the CG forum these days so thought I'd pitch in

we fly out next Monday for 2 weeks in Cala Galdana
Apartments from Fede @ MenorcaTodo
Car from Roger&Sue @ PoppyCars
Boat Hire @ MyBoatMenorca

My daughters are excitedly writing a list each of all the things they want to do. As designated driver I will get little peace, but what a place to drive - a pleasure.

Can't wait and will write a trip report on return.

I only let him think he's in charge.

Well you will notice mega changes in the money-carbuncle from the outside, even more if you visit inside but knowing your fear of heights and all the sea views in the hotel NOW only protected by glass panels....!
great views !! but
it would be your last nightmare

You can at least visit the new lower terrace area, which has lovely rocking chairs and loads of comfy sofas for a coffee or beer and pay a bit more than the other beach bars.
But you pay for the privilege, it is very nice and posh........don't try any food though...
over priced for what it is IMO

Still looking for my next boat
looks like it may be a canal barge now ?

1994 - 1st time at Tony's Restaurant, just past the old Gavilanes.
Great food and views. especially at night.

Also WHY are you driving when you are a the best resort in Menorca ?
unless you want to leave the car parked for your whole stay !
But then you are going in the busy period, so you may want to go some where more quieter ?
but then why not go in mid May ....had a great sunny time this MAY
may be kids holiday restrictions ?
more details about your stay, after your return will be much appreciated.
Never been in the BUSY time before.

Have a great time

Thank you Alan, would love to meet up, I met up with Tobymac in June only been talking on here since 2009 and it was the first time we had met, it was really nice meeting him and his wife, I also met some other people from the facebook page, really made my birthday.
