Hi we're looking to do a "big shop" when we arrive in Cala n Bosch and wondered which is the best value supermarket and as were coming from Bosch by bus what's the best way?
Heard you get the 65 bus from cuidadella which stops outside or does the bus from Bosch to ciudadella stop nearby?
Also is it easy to get a taxi from the supermarket? Will the staff phone one for us??
Any help is appreciated.

Hi, you're probably going to need a taxi for a big shop, it's a bit of a trek to the bus stop from the supermarket on the Calan Bosch side of town, from the other supermarkets you would need two buses to get back to Calan Bosch. Not sure if the staff will call you a taxi, there are phones for the taxis in the store. They probably speak some English at the taxi office, you could just brush up on the Spanish phrase to ask for a taxi to Calan Bosch from the supermarket.

We tried doing the big shop once but personally we didn't find it worth the agro and using up valuable holiday time to do it, plus the taxi or bus fare. We just grit our teeth and shop locally!

Does not the regular bus from CNB pass the large Diskont supermarket on the way into Ciutadella with a stop nearby?

Is it worth it financially on a £150 shop ?

65 bus from CnB doesn't go past the supermarket now. It used to a few years ago but now it goes via the big hotels in Sa Caleta, you can get off by the school just before Platja Gran and walk up to the Diskont supermarket, it's about 5-10 minutes. Seems further on the way back with the shopping!

It's your call as to whether it would be worth it financially!!

How much cheaper are the supermarkets than local bettebuys for example??
