What's open in May

Hi There
We are 2 couples going to Menorca on the 11th May staying at the Hotel Almirante even though we are all inclusive we never stay in the hotel during the evenings so would like any advive on the area.We would love to know what places we can expect to find open and any recomendations of nice places to eat and drink and have a bit of entertainment.Any tips would be most helpful as this is our first visit to Menorca.

Generally by the 11th May all the resort will be open, we go out around the 12th May every year and it's all open. The Almirante farragut is a nice hotel right at the end of the resort of Cala n Forcat, they do have entertainment but drinks tend to be a bit on the expensive side and not much choice on tap.
Going out and about, basically walk straight down the only road from the farragut into the main hub of CnF, you will come to a road island by the Haiti restaurant, if you go left there and carry on round you will find Jimmy Hills square where there are bars and entertainment most nights (tribute acts etc) a few bars Jimmy Hills , bluebreeze stay open until very early in the morning
Restaurants to be honest are all good our personal favorites are frankies bar (just walk straight into you see the blue arch and frankies is on the right, 10 min walk) great food and entertainment for kids and night time bingo karaoke etc. Yucas is fantastic for a quiet drink and great bbq meat, (very close to farragut only a couple of mins walk). and if Maxi's bar opens the best for relaxing drinks to watch the sunset (out of the hotel go left and follow the road around 5 min walk)

Thanks for taking the time to reply feel a lot better now knowing most places are open.you have give us some really good info and some of the places sound really good.knowing us we will give most of the places you mention a try.

No Probs

It's really easy just to take a stroll around the resort and see what takes your fancy, all the staff are friendly.
You will probably bump into me most nights at Frankies having a cold still water

hi Alan, may i ask is Blueberries part of jimmy hills sqaure or is it a seperate bar. ???
