Visiting Vineyards

Post by 1948felix » April 11th, 2015, 11:50 am

Now that there are more vineyards on the island, has anyone visited any of them? Any recommendations? We are staying 8th June to 29th June 2015 so have plenty of time to investigate. Thanks,

We planned a trip to the Binifadet winery last year but didn't make it. however the promo literature looked good and tripadvisor reports were very favourable. I am hoping that this year we will get there.

I have never been but I believe Hort de sant Patrici http://www.santpatrici.com just north of Ferreies is worth a visit.

Thanks for the replies, we will visit at least one of them and post a report when the time comes. Julie

I've seen photographs of Binifadet winery and it looks really nice. I'm hoping to get there some time for a visit too.

Maybe we had better come for four weeks instead of three! Hope to get to at least a couple, it should be interesting. Hope they speak English, as we do not have any Menorcan and only a little Spanish. I will check their sites out on internet. Thanks, Julie

Binifadet is definitely worth a visit; a quick but interesting tour/talk and some wine tasting. The bar terrace is a lovely spot to visit even without the tour.
Sant Patrici in Ferreries looks nice, but we never seem to get there at the right time for a tour.
We managed a visit to Binitord near Ciutadella last year, but it was a trip organised through the bloke in La Caixa bank in Es Migjorn, who I think is part owner.
We just drove into Cala'n Porter today and the vineyard there looks to have expanded considerably, but I haven't a clue whether you can visit - actually, I don't even know the name of it!
