Supermarket Opening Times

Post by NickR » June 11th, 2012, 10:06 pm

Hi all, new to this site so hello to all. We are travelling to Son Parc later in July, and our flight doesn't get in until about 7.15pm, so we estimate getting to Son Parc at about 9pm ish. Is there anywhere we can buy basic supplies at that time either in Son Parc or on the way from the airport?

Any help is appreciated, this is our first trip to Menorca. Many thanks, Nick.

Will you be getting there buy transfer or will you have a car, if you have a car you would be better calling at one of the supermarkets In Alyaior, they shut I think about 9pm.
I only let him think he's in charge.

Thanks for your reply. We will be picking a car up at the airport, so stopping on the way isn't a problem. Thanks for your help.

I have a map of the supermarkets on the east of the island http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?hl=en& ... 08647&z=12

There are a number on the Mahon poligono just a couple of minutes from the airport. I think you would be as well to call in one of those.

The Mahon Poligono sounds perfect, I will print off a map before we leave. Brilliant, many thanks for your help.

One or two can be a little difficult to get to if you don't know the one way system. Below is a map which shows you how to get to them.

Thanks for this great advice/map of supermarkets near the airport.

We will be going to one from the airport before we go to our resort but a couple of extra questions please!
- we'll be going at 11.00am on Sunday - will they be open then?
- do they all have car-parks that are free and easy to get in?
- if you had to choose one for a good first shop of basics (milk/bread/cheese etc.) + extras like beach mats/umbrellas, which one would it be?

Many thanks!
