Port Addaia???

Post by minty mouse » August 25th, 2013, 3:26 pm

I am considering going to Port Addaia next Aug. Not botherd that there is no beach, as we will have a car. I am looking for a place with a selection of resterants preferably overlooking the sea or marina. Has anybody been there before. :ele: :axe: :toasting:

Addaia is a nice quiet little urbanisation with a small marina. There are only 3 or maybe 4 restaurants and none of them have a view of the sea except a small cafe in the marina itself.

If you're looking for a quiet holiday resort Binibequer may be worth considering. Its quiet with two commercial centers. Binibequer Vell, but none of the restaurants there have a sea view. At the other end of the resort, Binibequer Nou/Cala Torret which has 5 restaurants and a couple of bars all with great sea views.

This page -> http://www.menorca-net.co.uk/menorca/binibequer.php has more info plus a 360 degree panoramic photo taken at El Faros showing the terrace with the restaurants on, a view which I'll never tire of.

Between Adday and Arenal there's a place called Na Macaret. It has two or three restaurants and bars and a small beach.

I'm sure there are holiday rentals there. Personally I prefer it to Addaya.

I was sad to see one of the restaurants (the one nearest to the beach) had closed, or it could have closed early before the end of the season finished but I don't think so. Another one bites the dust!

The one near the beach in macaret has been close all season Ang with the little bar next to it.

Your best bet in Addaia is the Taj Indian or the cantina down at the port.
