CnP Restaurants - what's good in 2014
The season's started, and there will no doubt be some changes at the CnP bars & restaurants. What's good this year? If you've been out and enjoyed a meal, please help those visiting later in the season and add a short review in here

Totally agree with Mark993targa. Dos Pablos was the best. When we were over last week, these were the only 3 we tried in CNP. The Rustic was open down at the beach, but the Barilles was still closed. Casa Tia's kitchen was opening yesterday (Friday), saw Pulpo gearing up to open and Sa Paissa opened last weekend I think. Didn't notice Salamandra or La Vela, but they didn't look open.

My experience from last week:-
Pitos, as always massive portions and good value/service.
The Castle, excellent service, quality and value.
Lorengos (the original one) I think has new owners, the tapas were really good, service excellent.
Salamandra, poor value and quality, service good but we were the only ones in there. I keep giving them another chance and every year I'm disappointed!

Just got home today, have to agree Can Dialy very good. Tapas excellent. Went for dinner on Friday night, had venison ragu, it was sublime, Have no doubt Uli and Diani will do well in there new venture. Samoa was really good, La Pallet was excellent for lunch yesterday. At El Faro we had paella to die for. Can Bernat best steak on the island. Tolo's new place was really good. Went to La Vela for the opening night, didn't eat due to the paella for lunch at El Faro, but my German friends reported that the food was very good. Also went to the opening night at 007 for a drink, also good reports on the food. Was invited to a party at Dos Pablos on Saturday night but unfortunately had made other plans. The restaurant looks very inviting with a good menu. To save the best till last, Johnnies bar was by far the best way to spend an evening in Calan Porter. Lots of Geordies though - no offence
PS: Can't wait to get back in summer to try other old favourites with my wife and not have to worry about the painting!

I was over on my own , but had meals at Rustic beach bar, samoa, Bar Pons, the casino & Tolo's in St Clemente, Pitos for breakfast, Merlins for a beer, all good, did also try the indian resturant in Mahon, not like the currys we get here though,
