Hi

I am sure there is probably a thread on here regarding this - but I couldn't locate it. So, apologies if I am starting a duplicate.

But ... can anyone recommend a good conveyancing lawyer. I am looking to buy an apartment fairly soon. If possible someone in Mercadal or Mahon would be ideal.

I have used Belen in Mahon (recommended by Bonnin Sanso) and have found her easy to communicate with. She also helped in setting up bank accounts, standing orders and other issues

We deal with property in the UK and have also dealt with lawyers on main land Spain. I would say our transaction in Menorca went as smooth as possible thanks to Belen.

We used Belen, she was really helpful. She charged us an agreed amount when we bought the house, another agreed amount when we made our wills but everything else including changing names on our tourist licence she has never asked for another bean for. It seems very different from my dealings in the UK where every letter is a reason to top your bill up........and she kisses you on both cheeks when you meet!
