Thanks very much. That's some useful info.

Next time I'm over, I'll get quotes to install a flue for a stove through the flat roof of the house. It would be a great thing to have during the winter months.

Thanks for the info on the air source heat pump, still not sure about the log burner though, I would prefer one, but the wife's worried about it getting to hot, and being smoky when it's first lit, she's thinking of getting a trick log burner that runs on electric, I need to make a decision soon, :smile:
