Just a quick update. Funds arrived in U.K. bank account today, so we’ll done Ley Currency. Glad they fixed our rate before the election, as the pound has risen against the euro since.

Who did you sell your apartment with. were the estate agents all the same commission?

We used Carol Thomas at Fincas Sunshine in Mercadal. A small inland town like Es Migjorn, away from resorts, is a niche market so we thought a fairly local agent was a better bet than larger concerns like Bonnin Sanso etc. We also did an exclusive deal with her which cost 4% commission rather than the usual 5%. It took a while to get a buyer but we were very happy with the service we received.
