Growing Alaior

Post by dsr » February 25th, 2021, 9:52 am

Not strictly Son Bou, but the Alaior Council have published a plan for future development. The map shows a new, urban ring road running from near the Son Bou roundabout to the Co-op / Binipreu road, extending to the road out to the north of the town. The area within the ring road will be the main area for future, residential development.

This has to be the most bonkers and bizarre planning scheme in the history of bonkers and bizarre planning. The proposed new road will only ever be 50m away from the existing (upgraded) ME-1 for 70% of its length - just use the existing exits and approaches from the bloody ME-1 and build access roads into the new development areas from the existing road network as and when required.
