No, the sand erosion at Son Bou is a recurring problem made worse by southern winds and the swell. The beach has been seriously eroded to the point where a 1.5m shelf has been created between the main beach and the water. It will right itself over the coming week as the wind/swell reverses. If you want accurate info, ignore the FB forums and go the the menorca.Info local paper. You don't get opinions there, you get information.

Thanks for the menorca.info suggestion. Have copied a photo from there to my iPad. The ‘cliff’ certainly looks impressive. Now, if I only knew how to attach the image to a post here...
