Yep,
I haven't been to this island.
I like how small it is, reminds me of the Isle of Man :)
It looks like you can literally go anywhere on the island for a day trip (correct me if I'm wrong!)
Do you live there?

I'm not sure if you are aware, but if you go onto the map that is on the villa page on the James Villas website, click the map and then click on satellite, a little person icon appears on the left.

You can then drag that icon over to where you villa is situated on the map and when you let go of it you should get a 'street view' that you can manipulate, so you can get a feel for the street it's in etc

You need to sit the 'person' right on top of your villa.

It looks lovely, I'm sure you will have a great time

DOH, just type din a long reply and the flipping thing didn't go on

Right, no I don't live there, wish I did though. Haven't been since 2005  but hope to get back at some point :???:

Old Slarty lives there though as do a few others on here.

Yes you can do anywhere on the island in a day. If I remember rightly it's only 36 odd miles long.

And I bet you fall in love with it like we all did and become a convert :finga: :finga: It's beautiful and very child friendly and you will adore it, i'm sure.

Thank you for the James villa tip! I will have a look at that tonight :))
It would be nice to fall in love with the island as it's just perfect on paper!!
Looking forward to it, just testing out my portable blackout blinds for the life ruiners tonight ;)

Your welcome, it's a bit touchy on the IPad, leaps about a bit, probably better on a laptop or desk top.

Good luck with the blackout curtains.

Quite fancy that villa myself, I seem to want to stay in every Villa on Minorca I look at, at the moment

I will make sure to do a detailed review, it's a shame there isn't a single one online.
The only thing I'm worried about is the pool isn't heated, I'm not sure it will be ok for the smalls at this time of year!

Yes that might be a bit of an issue, but if it's hot outside often kids can cope with a cold pool better than us adults. Sometimes at certain times of the year the sea might be a little bit warmer, especially at the edge of the water where it is shallow so that's another option for them.

Unfortunately there often aren't reviews of individual villas, but sometimes the larger villa companies let customers send in a brief review. I've got a theory (which is probably rubbish) that people only put up reviews of villas when the villas are bad as they have spent so much money they need to vent somewhere.

Whatever villa I book I do always put its name into google and in the search on TA and any Country specific forum to see if it throws up anything, but invariably there is nothing.

I've spent the last three summers in James Villas on mainland Spain and from my personal point of view they have been exemplary, but I guess you can always get unlucky.

There is a review facility on the James website which is good.
You're right though, you only get bad reviews most if the time! I am trying to change that in my little world! :)
I am sure the kids will be ok, if not we will have to go back in high summer ;)
What's the airport like? Basic? X
