Sceptic tank

Post by kieronf » January 20th, 2020, 4:17 pm

I've had a good look around the forum and can't find an answer - can anyone recommend a firm that empties sceptic tanks, Alaior area. Thanks

Hi Kieron. We are in the Alaior area and recently had our septic tank emptied by an old boy with a tractor and trailer called Pedro. His number is 0034 629 730 335. I am not sure how your Spanish is but he does not speak a word of English, so the telephone call to him was not the easiest! He charged 110 euros.

I also contacted a firm in Sant Louis, they were happy to come to Alaior area, but wanted 160 euros. If you need their details I will find them for you

You reminded me of when I was a nipper in the 1950s/60s. We used to visit friends whose house was on the shore between Hythe and Romney in Kent. They weren't connected to town sewage, so when the workman who was contracted to put in the septic tank turned up, he suggested drilling holes in the bottom of the tank. Highly unauthorised, but the guy clearly knew his job.
They would always ask us not to use too much toilet paper, or flush the loo repeatedly. We visited them regularly until I grew up and went out into the world, and to the best of my knowledge they never had the tank drained! But, definitely NOT recommended!!!! :axe:
