Tax

Post by PeterV » May 10th, 2019, 2:58 pm

Hi,

Been thinking about the tax return which is due end of the year.

With appropriate authority, I’m presuming your accountant can submit and pay the income tax requirement in Menorca on your behalf, ie. you haven’t got to be on the island in person?

Thanks.

Hi Peter

You can pay the tax at any time of year, so we just nip into our abogado when we're there on holiday in October and pay the bill and they sort the rest. But I would imagine it can also be done electronically from a bank account.

Cheers

I think you can even pay online. I'll have a dig around for more info.

Why not try Spanish tax forms ltd an online company who charge £29.95 for a couple they complete all the forms it’s a great service I use it every year they will also make the payment but I have done that myself at my Bank in Menorca!

Thanks very much everyone. I’m going to have a horrendously fiendish tax return this year, and it will likely be done by one of the dodgy five.

It’s good that I can do it online as I may not be on the island for a few years unfortunately.....although
The good news will be that the villa will be finished for when we are!
