Security systems monitored.

Post by Dg security » July 20th, 2019, 1:06 am

Hi,

Hoping to move over from the UK.

Having a security company in the UK specializing in monitored alarms and CCTV Systems I wondered if villa apartment owners would be intrested in the systems we fit if we moved over there.

DG ELECTRICAL AND ALARM ENGINEERS specialise in alarm and CCTV systems that the customer may monitor with live updates through a mobile APP enabling live video or alarm status in real time.

Hopefully if a move is possible I wondered if anyone would be intrested in our services, if interests were high we would possibly offer a response to alarm activations. Please see the link below to view the APP for our alarm systems.

If it helps you judge demand, as someone who owns and lets a villa on the island, I would not want either CCTV or an alarm system. The perceived intrusion of CCTV, even for family and friends would deter guests. The crime rate, in my opinion is such that an intruder alarm is not warranted either. Even if offered without cost I would consider either system as unnecessary and another thing to manage.

Other businesses may see more benefits but overall I dont think you'll find Menorca as fertile ground for alarms and cctv.

I hope thats helpful rather than disheartening.

Absolutely agree, private CCTV is still very much of a rarity in Menorca, the demand simply isn't here. So many businesses have been imported onto the island and I can only imagine that if it was a viable opportunity, someone would have got there first. Plus, knowing the way that local govt works I would imagine that there would be many hurdles to overcome. Mallorca is the place, without a doubt.
