Horse riding is very important to the Menorquins. There is a special breed of Menorca horse, very tall and elegant, which can be seen at its best at one of the local fiestas.
Menorca has many country tracks and pathways crossing the very green interior and coastal areas of the island. The terrain is mostly flat, making it ideal for horse trekking no matter what your level of experience, from complete novice to experienced rider.

The "Can Pouny" Equestrian riding school is easily found being situated on the main Mahon to Alaior road [ME1] at L'Argentina opposite Lloc de Menorca.
Where we are
We are just north of the main Mahon <-> Ciutadella road [ME1], at L'Argentina opposite Lloc de Menorca [Zoo], 3Km from Alaior and 4.8Km from the ME1, ME14 [Airport road] junction.

Come along and meet us, there's Tony and Eduard, Pluto, Furby and Rumba, our pets. Between us we'll make it a day to remember. Whatever your level, from complete novice, to experienced rider, we have something to suit everyone.
- New to horse riding, try our ½ hour gentle ride through the beautiful countryside.
- Experienced but still a little rusty, we have 1 or 2 hour excursions to ease you back in.
- Cross country trek, how about a 3 hour trek through green fields and wild olive groves.

- Mon - Fri 09:00 - 13:30 and 15:00 - 20:30
- Saturday 10:00 - 17:00
- Sunday* 10:00 - 16:00
*Sundays, please check in advance as we have competitions on Sundays throughout the summer.
