Wow... Victoria Playa now all inclusive

Was talking with one of my friends who works in the Vic Playa, and he has been told that it will also not be exclusive to Thomsons this summer, that they alreay have contracts in place with spanish and italian tour operators also, dont know how true this is see if i can find out some more.

Another nail in the coffin for local businesses! OK for the tourists who want more for their money but I feel it will finish off the resort, there's not much there to start with, how can they keep up with the hoteliers?
I won't be going to the Vic again

Well as a regular visitor to Victoria Playa (5 times) I will be very interested to read people's comments who are staying there this year, unfortunately we are not going abroad this year - redecorating the kitchen/new appliances has been overdue for a while now!! We are going for a long weekend to Ladram Bay, Devon at the beginning of October and in the meanwhile keeping everything crossed that we have a lovely summer here in the UK to enjoy the gorgeous beaches literally on my doorstep (Sandbanks/Bournemouth). We may consider going back to Santo Tomas next year depending on reviews etc and also the size of the beach as that is what attracted us in the first place and we did notice a considerable difference when we were there July '09 from our previous visits.
